Bluebell Walk – Saturday 1 May
Saturday 1st May, 9.00am to 11.30am for prospective families.
Booking is essential as places are strictly limited.
As our woodland goes through Spring’s wonderful transformation, come and see it in full bloom!
Take a relaxing stroll to experience the wonders of Old Park Woods that our pupils get to enjoy through our Outdoor Learning programme.
There are two routes to follow:
Little Legs – suitable for families with small children who prefer a flatter walk or use an off road buggy. The trail takes you through the woodland and out onto ‘The Ride’ where there is space to run. Look out for signs of wildlife and learn about the animals that live here then collect some natural materials along the way to make a colourful picture when you get home. This trail takes approx 20 to 30 minutes.
Long Legs – perfect for families with older children who are happy with hills. This beautiful trail snakes around and up to the highest point, past bluebells and back down through the ancient woodland. It will take you 30-45 minutes.
Whichever trail you choose, you will checked in at the start and given a trail sheet to follow. The trails follow a one way direction and are sign posted. They are woodland trails so appropriate flat footwear should be worn
Both trails finish at our Forest School where you will be able to chat to a member of our Prep team and ask any questions that you have about our school whilst you enjoy some well earned refreshments.
Please note that groups should be a maximum of six and must adhere to our Covid visitor protocol prior to arrival. Dogs are welcome but must be kept on a lead at all times. Each group will be allocated a start time (leaving at 15 minute intervals) and places are limited so please book ahead using the form below or contact [email protected]
