Join us with your children for an exciting morning of interactive fun with our Head of Science, Christopher Bovet-White.

At Caterham Prep, our pupils are excited and engaged with STEM subjects and we feed their interest from an early age through lesson time and co-curricular clubs.

This dedicated morning for prospective families invites you to visit us virtually with a presentation from the Headmaster followed by the chance for your child to get stuck into one of two age appropriate fun science sessions. Choose from:

9.30am Tiny Science (Pre-Prep, children aged 3-6)

Up, Up, and Away! – The Science of Flight.  To get involved your child needs available for the session:

A  stop watch, paper, drinking straws, sticky/sellotape, scissors, paper clips, space to fly.

10.30 Super Science (Prep, children aged 7-11)

Blood Smoothies! – Find out what our blood is made of and why it is so amazing. To get involved in this session, your child will need:

Raspberries and/or strawberries, marshmallows (small ones), pineapple or apple juice, choice of (an apple, a banana or an orange or both an apple and a banana), a blender, kitchen/clean area with adult supervision.
