Year 6 making waves at Mercers Lake

On a beautifully, sunny morning, Year 6 headed to Mercers Lake in Merstham for a watersports taster session. Children were kitted out in wetsuits and after a safety briefing, headed down to the lake. Half of them started with a paddle boarding session whilst the others began the fun with kayaking. They were shown an array of skills to use and it was amazing to see how much progress they made in such a short amount of time. Halfway through the morning, the groups swapped round so they got a taster of both. So much fun was had by all and we finished off the morning with a picnic in the park!
