Racing to Victory at Lingfield Meet!

On Friday 3 October, a team of 16 runners from Years 4 to 6, travelled to Lingfield Prep for their annual cross-country meeting.  There was a super atmosphere around a new course with plenty of parental and team support for all the runners.

The U9 girls ran first over a 1300m course, with a super team performance, all finishing in the top 15 and Riva W striding home to take a bronze medal. The U9 boys followed with a strong out from the front run by Rafe E ultimately taking the win, with Max De La P, holding off the chase to take the silver medal.  Our Caterham U9s boys and girl won the team shield.  In the U11 events over 1900m, Tahlia G took the silver in the girl’s race, with Rafa DS and Max M kicking hard down the finishing straight to take silver and bronze respectively. The U11 team finished second, but with a whole team effort, Caterham were awarded the overall team winner’s shield.

A fabulous afternoon by everyone who took part.
