Highways and Byways Inspired Art

In their weekly art lessons with Mrs Bell, Year 1 have been on a creative journey through maps. Inspired by Paul Klee’s Highways and Byways, the children produced wax-resist and watercolour abstract maps, experimenting with colour and pattern. They then enriched their artwork by adding map symbols that they’ve been learning about in their global topic work. Well done Year 1.
