Year 1 Literacy Workshop

Parents enjoyed an engaging insight into the complexities of teaching phonics, spelling and writing to 5 and 6 ear-olds at our recent Year 1 Literacy workshop. While a few impressive (and unavoidable!) big words cropped up when exploring the theory behind our approach, the session remained practical and accessible, sharing plenty of helpful tips and ideas along the way. Parents also gained a clear, step-by-step understanding of how literacy is taught at Caterham School, enabling them to confidently support learning at home.
