Chicken Licken Assembly!

The children in Year 2 have been enjoying reading traditional tales from around the world as part of their literacy learning. One story they particularly loved was Chicken Licken. 
In 2P’srecent class assembly, the children proudly shared their work by reading sentences they had written using nouns, verbs and adjectives to describe the characters. They also impressed everyone by retelling the whole story of Chicken Licken from memory, complete with fun actions. 

Some children dressed up as the story’s characters, including Chicken Licken, Henny Penny, Cocky Locky, Ducky Lucky, Drakey Lakey, Goosey Loosey, Turkey Lurkey, Foxy Loxy and the fox cubs. The class also performed two fantastic songs, Oh, Chicken Licken and Foxy Loxy, singing beautifully while adding actions. 

The children were delighted to perform for their parents and did a wonderful job sharing their learning.
