Year 2 Mini Strings

Our Year 2 pupils have been enjoying their Mini Strings scheme this term, with the opportunity to explore the violin, viola, cello and double bass. 

Over the course of the term, pupils have been introduced to how each instrument works, how to hold and care for it, and how to produce their first sounds, all taught by our fantastic team of Visiting Music Teachers. It has been wonderful to see their curiosity and confidence grow as they begin to develop their playing skills. 
The sessions have been full of enthusiasm, with pupils showing great focus as they work together, listen carefully and perform as a group. We look forward to sharing their progress with parents at a short performance on Tuesday 16 June at 3.00pm — please do save the date.
