A Trip to Hever

A Trip to Hever

On Tuesday, Year One enjoyed a fantastic educational visit to Hever Castle as part of our learning linked to the big question, ”What makes our island special?” The children were excited to see the features of a castle brought to life and thoroughly enjoyed exploring the rooms within the castle.
During the visit, we learned more about how castles were defended and discovered the important role they played in the past. The children particularly enjoyed making their own mini catapults and launching ‘missiles’ as part of a fun castle-defence activity.
We are very proud of all the children for their excellent behaviour throughout the day. They impressed the castle guides and staff, who commented on how knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and engaged they were. Well done, Year One!
