Growing, Learning and Playing Outdoors

Year 1 have been making the most of our outdoor spaces this week, enjoying plenty of opportunities to learn through exploration, play and physical activity. The children have been busy planting beautiful pansies, developing their understanding of how to care for plants and what they need to grow. In the outdoor kitchen, imaginative play has encouraged creativity, communication and collaboration as the children shared ideas, took on different roles and created together. 

In Games, the children have been developing their fundamental movement skills, practising catching a ball and improving their running, coordination and agility. It has been wonderful to see the children growing in confidence, developing new skills and learning together while having so much fun outdoors!
