ROCK SOLID YEAR 3
Last half term Year 3 were learning about soil. They have brought in soil samples from home to look at and also locked for different soil types around school. They managed to dodge the rain and (nearly all of the) mud to compare the properties of soils in different environments, even within the same general location.
This half term they are studying rocks and carrying out practical experiments such as finding out whether rocks are permeable or impermeable. This was followed by growing their own crystals. We are still waiting to see how these have turned out.
