Year 1’s Week of Fun
Year 1 have had a fantastic few weeks studying artists who fit in with their ‘water’ theme. After looking at Seurat and Monet’s art work, the children turned their paint brushes to the task of recreating some of their work. Miss Carter and Mrs Dyer proved to the children that you are never too old to learn new things – Flick Dyer taught them that adding rock salt onto wet paint can create the ripple effect in water…every day is a school day!! Well done Year 1 for your beautiful art work.
Year One were also learning all about healthy eating and maintaining a balanced diet. We tried a variety of fruits, they were very yummy!
