The British Museum Visits Year 3
As part of our Ancient Egypt studies in Global Citizenship lessons, Year 3 were fortunate enough to experience a virtual myth-busting visit by an expert from The British Museum. During the live lesson, the children learnt all about some of Ancient Egypt’s common misconceptions. They participated in live activities, interactive quizzes and thought provoking questions all of which were aimed at enhancing their knowledge and understanding of the past. Their historical enquiry skills were developed and they were challenged to think critically. The children found it fascinating to hear from an expert and be able to see some amazing artefacts up close on the screen.
Many of the children have already expressed their interest in going to visit the museum in person as soon as possible.
We hope to engage with more of these sessions for different year groups in the future.
