A Feathery Visitor with Izel
We were all inspired this week by Izel, who recently rescued an injured pigeon she found near her home. Showing great compassion and responsibility, Izel gently took the bird in and cared for it over several weeks—keeping it safe, feeding it, and helping it regain its strength.
Once the pigeon was feeling much better, Izel brought it in to meet the Reception children. The classes were fascinated by their feathery visitor and responded with calm curiosity and lots of thoughtful questions.
Well done, Izel, for showing such kindness and care! Thank you to Izel’s mummy and Rainbow Sparkles, the pigeon, for sharing their heartwarming story. We cannot wait to hear how the release back into the wild goes!
