Book Buddies put reading on the map
The new reading initiative between the Senior and Prep School is proving a hit with all Year 6 pupils involved immersed in one of the books recommended especially for them by the First Year buddy. On Monday, First Year buddies enjoyed listening to the Year 6 pupils reading their favourite passage from their book so far and chatting about the characters and what they liked about the book. Lots of the Year 6 pupils asked for even more book recommendations from their buddies and it was wonderful hearing the praise and encouragement from the First Year pupils, who have really risen to their responsibilities. Hopefully the final session this term will be a face to face meeting between the year groups with some great books lined up for the summer.
