Cricket Fixture Reports
It has been another great week on the cricket field at the Prep School. The Year 3 girls and boys had some enjoyable fixtures against Banstead Prep with the Boys A and B teams recording some good wins and the U8 B team also getting a win on the board.
On Wednesday, the Under 10 A team recorded a remarkable last ball victory over Banstead. Both sides played some incredible cricket, with some very tight bowling restricting both batting sides. In the last over Banstead only needed 2 to win but with nerves of steel, Sebastian H A bowled a maiden which included a wicket off the penultimate ball to secure the win. The fielding, batting, and bowling was of such a high standard and both sides are to be congratulated on their performances. The B team narrowly lost in a close game and with slightly more concentration in the field more progress will certainly be made.
The U10 and U11 girls played some very entertaining fixtures with Micklefield with all games going down to the wire, the improvement in the girls’ games shows real progress and bodes well for the rest of the season.
