Everyone Gets Involved at House Afternoon

Just before we broke for half term the whole school enjoyed an afternoon of fun with their Houses.  This involved pupils from Reception up to Year 6 meeting together to learn about their chosen House Charity for the year and to enjoy some fun and games in their House groups.  Year 6 pupils took the lead to make sure that our youngest children were fully included in everything on offer. Viewpoint enjoyed making a wonderful hand printed banner which will be used at events throughout the year.  Pilgrims challenged themselves with some cooperative games for mixed age teams.  Foxburrow’s Year 6 pupils designed a number of different activities to get everyone thinking and working together.   This year the chosen charities, as voted for by the pupils, are:

Viewpoint – Shooting Star Children’s Hospice

Foxburrow – Royal Brompton and Harefield Hospitals Charity

Pilgrims – Shooting Star Children’s Hospice

Our next whole school House event will be a ‘House Shout’ singing competition in the spring term, followed by a sponsored event for our chosen charities in the summer term. Thanks as always to our Year 6 House Captains and the adult Heads of House for all they do to promote this spirit of collaboration and fun across the whole school community.
