Hands on Science in Year 4

Year 4 had an effervescent reaction to their first scientific practical! We have been learning about scientific protocols, control variables for a fair test, how to weigh and measure, and how to assess risk in the lead up to this practical.

We had to predict which drink was the most fizzy and then prove this by weighing the liquids before and after stirring to calculate the mass of carbon dioxide lost.

Our results found a joint tie for the fizziest between Dr Pepper and Radnor Fruits Orange & Mango.
