House Music Winner Announced
Last Friday we held the final of our House Music Competition. The first round of the event was extremely competitive this year with over 30 entries from each house. 18 children were selected to represent their respective houses in the final and their instruments included singing, piano, cello, violin, trumpet, trombone, clarinet, oboe and flute. All the children played beautifully and their houses could be very proud of them.
Mr Hall, Head of Senior School Academic Music, adjudicated the competition giving each child some positive feedback as well as some helpful advice for something to work on.
In the Grades 0-1 category the winner was Charlotte (singing), from Foxburrow
In the Grades 2-3 category the winner was Natasha (trombone), from Foxburrow
And in the Grades 4+ category there was a 1st, 2nd and 3rd place which went to Cecilia (Piano – Viewpoint), Marble (Piano – Viewpoint) and Tom (Violin – Foxburrow).
When all the scores had been counted, it was Viewpoint who came out top to win the trophy this year, closely followed by Foxburrow.
Many congratulations to all the children who took part and well done, Viewpoint!
