Hunting for Signs of Autumn!

Hunting for Signs of Autumn!

Armed with clipboards, Autumn tick lists and an iPad to capture their discoveries, the children set off to explore the school grounds. They loved searching high and low for all the different signs that Autumn has arrived.

Along the way, they bumped into lots of teachers who stopped to chat and hear all about their Autumn adventures making their exploration even more special.
You’ll all be pleased to know that, after some very thorough investigating, Reception can officially confirm… we are definitely in Autumn!

Then this week the children have been exploring feelings, emotions and friendship. They carefully used conker holders and palm drills to make holes in conkers, ready to create their very own friendship necklaces. Each conker represents a reason why they like and value their friend. It was a lovely opportunity for the children to think about what makes a good friend, while also developing their fine motor skills and learning how to use tools safely.
