Impressive House Final Competition!

Impressive House Final Competition!

Last Friday, the Prep School was alive with music as pupils took to the stage for the much-anticipated House Music Final. The event showcased the talents of some of our finest young musicians, and the afternoon was filled with impressive performances that reflected the dedication and hard work of all involved.

In the Grades 1–2 category, Noah captured first place with a fun rendition of The Bare Necessities on the tenor horn. His confident and enthusiastic playing clearly impressed our adjudicator, Mr Hall. Runner-up Tahlia enchanted the audience with her beautiful performance of Guter Mond, sung in German with great poise.

The Grades 3–4 category saw Robin take the top spot with his charismatic performance of Waltzing Lil the Pterodactyl on the clarinet. His expressive playing and clear love for music made him a very worthy winner. Cecilia earned the runner-up title for her elegant and engaging performance of Divertimento on the viola.

In the Grade 5 category, Ella won a well-deserved first place with her charismatic performance of Dancing Flute.

In the Grades 7–8 category, Eugenia was awarded first place for her stylish and polished interpretation of Por Una Cabeza on the violin, delivering a performance full of flair and finesse.

The House Music Competition was a joyous celebration of our pupils’ musical achievements and a testament to the vibrant musical culture at Caterham Prep. Congratulations to all the performers for their outstanding contributions!

Sincere thanks go to Mr Hall for adjudicating and to Mr Assen for his expert accompaniment on the piano.
