Junior Science Competition 2026
A thrilling competition all about exploring Science and its mysteries!
The Moncrieff-Jones Society at Caterham School is delighted to invite you to enter this year’s Junior Science Competition. To enter, all you need to do is make a video that includes your answer to the following question:
“What is the biggest mystery in Science – solved or unsolved?”
You could research a big mystery that confused scientists for a long time but was eventually solved, or a big ongoing mystery that scientists have not yet found an answer for.
Your video should explain why your chosen mystery is / was so big, and why it fascinates you.
Your video should include a PowerPoint or other document, with diagrams / images / animations where you think they fit. You should also narrate your video so that you can explain your points.
The closing date for this competition is Tuesday 9 June, at 4:00pm.
To submit your video, all you need to do is fill in this form; you can upload your video on the last question. Please indicate the name of your school on your form. (Please note that the maximum file size that this form can take is 1 GB.)
