Keep BEEing Amazing Year 1!
Continuing on from Year 1 finding their bears a few weeks ago, we discovered that the bears like to eat honey. After tasting five different honeys, we all agreed that it is yummy! This led us to explore where honey comes from – bees!! The children have learnt incredible facts all about the Queen, Worker and Drone bees, making fact sheets and life cycle crowns. Then, as if that wasn’t exciting enough, the Year 1 children went ALL the way to the Senior School to have a lesson in the chemistry lab with Mr Tyldesley (Caterham School’s resident bee expert). Here they learnt even more facts but also got to show off their bee knowledge. Well done Year 1, keep ‘BEEing’ amazing!
