Kicking Off Strong!

The boys have made a positive start to the football season, but the opening couple of weeks of fixtures has also given us plenty to work on going forward. 

The U8’s made a good start against a strong Banstead team and despite the A team losing the B and C teams won comfortably.  The U9 also registered 2 wins and draw.  The Colts also stated brightly winning 4 out of their 5 games. 

On Saturday the U10’s played some fantastic football at the Reigate Tournament.  The boys dominated every game they played but were unlucky to concede an own goal in one crucial match.  The boys ended up finishing joint top at the end of the day but were awarded second place on goal difference despite convincingly beating the winners. 

This week the U8’s played Reigate and Hawthorns away with the A team losing both games but the B and C team winning again. 

The Colts were well beaten on Wednesday by some really skilful Lingfield teams and this gave us lots to work in the coming weeks.  The Under 9’s put things back on the right track with 3 convincing wins away at Lingfield playing some attractive football winning 4-2, 8-1 and 5-0 respectively.
