Year 3 Musicians Make a Flying Start!
Our Year 3 Brass and Woodwind Scheme is off to a fantastic start, with children already showing great enthusiasm and focus in their small-group lessons.
This year, pupils are learning cornet, trombone, clarinet, saxophone, flute and bassoon. We’re especially excited to introduce the bassoon to the scheme. With the arrival of two new mini bassoons, specially designed for younger players, our pupils have a unique opportunity to learn an instrument rarely offered in primary schools. In fact, we may be the only prep school in the country to offer bassoon as part of a whole-year-group music programme!
The children will continue learning throughout the term, building the foundations for what we hope will become individual instrumental lessons from January. We can’t wait to hear their progress over the coming months.
