Netball Season Begins
The girls kicked off the netball season this week with a friendly block fixture against Reigate St Mary.
The Year 3s travelled to Reigate St Mary’s to play in a round robin Flier format of the game- 4 v 4 across a third of the regular court. After only a few introductory skills sessions, the girls had an enjoyable afternoon and came away with a handful of goals; they will hit the ground running after Christmas with the introduction of specific positions. Years 5 and 6 played the Stinger five a side format and came away with a commendable set of results, winning 4 out of 7 matches- well done. Finally, the Year 4s rounded off the week, again playing the Flier format; some great passing and moving around the court was evident, with a particular focus of driving into space.
