New Beginnings

Year 2 have been exploring the theme of new beginnings in their recent Drama lessons. Together, the children have been thinking about what it means to move into a new year group or even a new school, and how we can approach these changes with excitement, courage, and a positive mindset. 

Working collaboratively, the pupils brought to life some of their favourite moments of school life through imaginative role play and short performances. Many of these sessions took place outside in the sunshine on the decking, which provided a wonderful backdrop. 

It has been a real pleasure to watch the children share ideas, listen to one another, and build their performances together. Their willingness to compromise and support each other has been incredibly mature and thoughtful. 

The pupils’ reflections on change, new challenges and new opportunities have been both refreshing and inspiring. Year 2 reminded us that new beginnings can be something to look forward to, full of possibility, confidence, and positivity.
