Online Safety

Online Safety

With the start of the new year, children have been talking about how to keep themselves and others safe when working and playing online. Children have talked about online safety in their forms, in Wellbeing and Digital Innovation lessons, celebrating the exciting opportunities that a wider digital world can bring and the importance of knowing what to do and who to turn to if something doesn’t seem right. In Digital Innovation, children in Years 3 to 6 have been thinking about how to help others to stay safe and are working to create their own resources to educate other children of their own age, younger or even older about potential risks and the steps we can take to protect ourselves from them.

Children have chosen a wide array of ways to share this information, from posters to quizzes to films, animations and even games and 3D designs, and in doing so have also shown those areas in which they are more confident or wishing to develop in their own computer use as we begin the new year.
