Pupils Shine in ABRSM Exams

30 talented pupils from across the Senior and Prep schools successfully passed ABRSM (Associated Board of Royal School of Music) exams last week, including pupils taught by our excellent Visiting Music Teachers at Caterham School and pupils taught externally. Almost 70% of pupils achieved merits and distinctions, which is an incredible accomplishment.

While preparing for these music exams, pupils have also been undertaking academic end of year exams, and are regularly performing in choirs, orchestras and other music events. To achieve such fantastic results at this busy time of year is no mean feat.

These results are indicative of the exceptional capability and dedication of our musicians, and are a testament to the commitment and support of our large team of highly skilled VMTs. Pupils were also tested on scales, sight reading and aural ability, and despite the nerves for some pupils, the examiner was highly impressed.

Huge congratulations go to all of our pupils, with special recognition to those awarded the highest level of distinction: Elena J (Year 4), Mila VH (Year 6), Mumu Z (Fourth Year), Noah M (Year 6)

Also special thanks to Spencer T (L6) and Humphrey DB (First Year) who both helped to accommodate a fellow pupil in need at short notice, so that he could sit his exam.
