Reception Explore the Five Senses!

Reception have had a fantastic week diving into the fascinating world of senses! It’s been a truly hands-on experience, with plenty of fun and learning along the way. 

The children explored taste by guessing the flavours of different yogurts – there were lots of surprised faces and giggles! They also tested their sense of touch and sight by guiding their friends around the field while blindfolded, learning to listen carefully and trust their partner. 

The outside area was filled with exciting smells as they sniffed and snipped fresh herbs, played with scented playdoh, and their fingers got messy exploring textures like spaghetti and cornflour. 

It’s been a week full of discovery, teamwork, and sensory fun – well done, Reception!
