Rugby Fixtures Reports Week 5
On Tuesday, the U8 boys finished off their rugby season in style with all teams winning away at Copthorne. The progress they have made this season has been remarkable. The opposing coach was impressed by the rugby that our A team had played. The B team and C team also performed brilliantly, their discipline in defence has matured and the boys are running well with the ball in hand
On Wednesday it was wonderful to welcome Elmhurst to Caterham for some coaching games of touch. Elmhurst are just starting out on their rugby journey, so it was a pleasure to help them learn the game and enjoy a match day experience. In these testing times for the game of rugby it was great to see two schools come together, share and learn together and most importantly have fun.
The U9s brought the curtain down on a very successful rugby season in style by winning all their games at the Copthorne Rugby Festival. The A team were in imperious form winning all their games against some tough opposition which included Brighton College, Copthorne Prep and Cumnor House, the boys played so well as a team, their defence was solid and the support running going forward was very impressive. The boys are to be congratulated on such a great season winning all their nine games. The combined B and C teams were equally impressive winning all their games against the same opposition. The hard work the boys have put in during their lessons has really paid off and it has been a pleasure to coach them this term.
