School Council Creative

This term, our School Council tackled a real-life issue raised by our Catering Manager, Kate: the lunch queue had become so noisy that the catering team struggled to hear what children were asking for. Pupils suggested a range of creative solutions — from complete silence to hand signals — and, through a democratic discussion, agreed on a practical and pupil-friendly approach.

Our Marketing Department turned their idea into clear visual instruction stickers, now displayed in the dining area. The result has been immediate: calmer, more efficient queuing and a servery where everyone can be heard without shouting. A fantastic example of pupil voice making a real difference to school life.
