Senior School Sax Ensemble visit!

We were delighted to welcome the Senior School Sax Ensemble to Singing Assembly this week for a fantastic live performance. The group of six players showcased the full saxophone family, with soprano, alto, tenor and bass saxophones all featured. They treated us to a brilliantly energetic medley of tunes from Mario Bros, which immediately captured everyone’s attention. 

It was particularly special to see Alex J, Alfred D and Nathaniel R performing as part of the group, all of whom began their musical journey through our Prep instrumental schemes. What a wonderful example of where early musical opportunities can lead. The Prep children listened with impressive focus and enthusiasm, clearly loving the chance to experience live music up close. There was a real buzz in the room, and it was a joyful reminder of how inspiring live performance can be — a real treat for everyone involved.
