Senior Singers Spread Musical Joy
Our Senior Singers brought music, warmth and smiles to a local care home this week with a truly uplifting morning performance. The children sang with confidence and heart, and the residents were delighted – so much so that the care home later shared this message with us:
“Thank you so much for this morning. The residents have not stopped talking about the children. Please stay in touch and you are very welcome here any time!”
The programme featured an impressive range of pieces, including Lady Gaga’s Hold My Hand, Colours of My Life from Barnum, A Thousand Years from Twilight, and The Artist Teaches Us All. The performance concluded with a lively Beatles medley that had residents clapping, tapping their feet, and joining in with huge smiles.
Adding to the magic of the morning were two beautiful instrumental solos. Zoe performed a lively and expressive clarinet solo, and Kiera performed a beautiful flute solo.
Several of the children showed a developing social confidence, chatting warmly with the residents, sharing stories, and enjoying thoughtful conversations that created genuine moments of connection across the generations.
It was a special occasion for everyone involved, and we look forward to returning soon.
