Spellings are Buzzing!

We were delighted to host our annual Spelling Bee finals at the end of last week. Following highly enthusiastic preliminary rounds held in English lessons across the school, each class selected two finalists who demonstrated impressive perseverance and courage by spelling in front of their peers during the final in assembly. The standard was exceptionally high, with many pupils quickly progressing beyond their year-group word lists; Year 5 and Year 6 finalists even tackled a special challenge sheet featuring some particularly demanding spellings.  

All finalists should be extremely proud of their achievement: Year 3 – Dhilan, Mila, Roshan and Khyan; Year 4 – Lila, Irish, Eliza, Niya, Leah and Kal; Year 5 – Krish, Aayan, Noah and Liam; Year 6 – Nikhil, Abdullah, Isabella and Riley. Congratulations to our overall winners: Roshan (Year 3), Leah (Year 4), Noah (Year 5) and Riley (Year 6). Every pupil involved showed resilience, focus and a real love of language — they should all be extremely proud of themselves.
