Steps Towards Becoming a Plastic Free School

Steps Towards Becoming a Plastic Free School

So far this term our Eco Warriors have been working on a project to make us a plastic free school. We looked around the school site to identify which plastic litter was in the school grounds. We found disposable masks, empty plastic hand gel bottles and empty Lamy ink cartridges. After that we made a plan of action which included writing a letter to our local MP. Most of the children have also noticed an increase in the amount of disposable masks and gloves around their communities. We asked the local MP to contact the Secretary of State for the Environment asking what steps the Government are taking to reduce plastic pollution. We await a response.
