Superb Environmental Advocates
In one of our final sessions of Year 6 Eco-warriors Club, we made butterfly/insect water holders. They are practical, easy to make and a fun way to brighten up one’s garden. Mrs Scarsbrook was so impressed she came to make one for her garden too. The Year 6 eco-warriors have done a fabulous job of advocating for the environment. They have helped to instigate a school herb garden as well as ensuring the compost bin is kept going with the fruit peels from break time. They have continued to monitor the air levels in the classroom using our SAMHE air monitor. They have initiated a spreadsheet to record their findings from each classroom, strongly encouraging teachers to open the windows so there is always fresh air, balancing it finely with not losing heat from heating the rooms. Well done eco-warriors and I hope you continue with this fantastic work in the future.
