Supporting Local Primaries with Catch Up
Mr Lex Lang, Deputy Head, Teaching and Learning led a successful training session on coding for the East Surrey Learning Partnership this week. The session was attended by 30 teachers from three local primary schools. This is the first of three sessions on coding from basic to advanced, organised in collaboration with our partner schools. Coding needs to be integrated in the primary curriculum, combining problem solving with logic and creativity. The capacity to develop these skills will be an important ingredient in the ‘catch up’ agenda, empowering children to not only ‘catch up’, but ‘get ahead’!
