The Big Battery Hunt Competition!
It is time for Caterham Prep and Pre-Prep to join the Big Battery Hunt for 2025. The BIG BATTERY HUNT is a nationwide recycling challenge that inspires pupils to power change across their schools and wider communities. The BIG BATTERY HUNT has completed its 5th successful year and with your help, we have so far managed to recycle over 18.4 million batteries!
Once again we will be running this as a class competition. If you have any batteries that need recycling, please do the following:
- Count them up and email your total to your class teacher and Mrs Deale at [email protected] and then take them to your local recycling facility OR
- Bring them into school to add to your class total.
4C are currently in the lead thanks to the efforts of Molly and her family who have collected around 800 batteries so far.
“Showing children that small environmental actions, when taken collectively, can make a big difference is illustrated brilliantly by Duracell’s Big Battery Hunt.”
Allison Ogden-Newton OBE, Chief Executive of environmental charity Keep Britain Tidy
