Think Space by Sparkfish for Beliefs Week

Think Space by Sparkfish for Beliefs Week

In the Prep and Senior Schools, we have had a Think Space set up by the charity Sparkfish. This is something that we do annually for Beliefs Week with a different theme each year. Each class is given an opportunity to go into the Think Space and reflect.

This year our theme has been Faith. During the reflection time, the children have been asked to think about what the word faith means to them. They were asked to write their thoughts onto post-it notes and pin them onto a net. The bubble tube was a favourite activity where they watched the bubbles going up the tube and thought about a question that they may want to ask God. Some very big questions were asked. Some children were able to build different faith buildings out of lego blocks- this was a firm favourite. Other children made bookmarks or blossoms that were set into water, with their thoughts on. It has been wonderful to watch the enthusiasm of the children as they entered the Think Space and had 20 minutes to just stop and think. Many of them remember this space from previous years and share how much they enjoy it.

Many thanks to Charlie from Sparkfish for setting this up for us and leading all the sessions.
