U11 Take on U12C at Lacrosse Introduction
On Saturday 12 March, our Year 6 girls had an open invite to play a friendly game of Lacrosse against the Senior School U12C’s. Ten eager players arrived at Hillfields raring to go, in what was for many, their first ever experience of a lacrosse match. The girls have had an introduction to passing, catching and retrieving ground balls and they soon got into the swing of things. The U12s got off to a flying start, going ahead 3-0, but the U11s fought back and gained confidence running with the ball and started to take on players one on one. Goals followed from both teams, but it was the U12s who took the victory 7-5.
Great fun was had by all, and the girls are looking forward to stepping onto the pitch when they move up to senior school in September.
