U9 Boys Win Prep Tournament
Well done to the U9 boys football team who became the first Caterham team to win their own tournament. There were some talented teams taking part and there was some fantastic football on display. After many years of penalty shoot disappointment and semi finals appearances the boys went all the way in style to the final. The boys had a tough group to negotiate first which they successfully did which led to a semi final against a very skillful Elmhurst side. Our team battled hard every minute and were first to every ball with their determination paying off with a 2-0 win. In the final they played the stand out team of the tournament, Surbiton High, but more dogged termination and fantastic goalkeeping enabled Caterham to secure a 1-0 victory and the celebrations started. Well done boys on a fantastic morning of football, a well deserved win hot on the heels of their recent top spot at the Lingfield College tournament!
