Worldly Pupils Display Their Knowledge!

Last week, Prep was buzzing with excitement as pupils from Years 3 to 6 took part in this year’s Geography Bee. Over two days, young geographers put their knowledge to the test in a friendly yet gripping competition, demonstrating confidence and a fantastic understanding of the world.

The event began on Thursday with the Years 3–4 competition, where ten finalists, each having earned their place after classroom qualifier rounds, gathered eagerly to compete. A short warm-up round helped settle nerves before the official questions began. Once underway, the room was electric as pupils tackled questions on world landmarks, continents, capital cities, and physical geography. After several nail-biting rounds, we were thrilled to crown Zainuddin (Year 4) as the winner. A huge congratulations to them on an outstanding result!

The excitement continued the following day when our Years 5–6 finalists took their turn. Nine confident and well-prepared pupils faced a challenging variety of rounds, including country outlines, map symbols, tourist attractions, clues, and True/False questions. As the competition progressed, four Year 5 pupils remained, battling it out right to the final question. With time running out and a tie still in place between Noah M and Aayan M (both Year 5), the decision was made to award them joint winners—a deserved recognition of their exceptional performance.

Across both competitions, our pupils impressed everyone with their geographical knowledge, quick thinking, and determination. We are tremendously proud of every participant—not just for their skill, but for their enthusiasm, sportsmanship, and willingness to take on a challenge.

A huge congratulations to our winners and to all nine finalists for their hard work, confidence, and excellent geographic knowledge. Well done to everyone involved!
