Year 1 Hop on a Flight to Marrakesh
On Tuesday the Year 1 children had a very exciting afternoon ‘flying’ to Marrakesh in Morocco. We packed our suitcases with suitable clothing to wear, boarded the plane and before we knew it, we had landed! The children then used their senses to experience the sights, sounds, smells and tastes of Marrakesh. We saw the busy alley ways and souks of the Medina and looked at some beautiful Islamic tiles; we listened to the call to prayer and some traditional Moroccan music; we smelt lots of different spices and then tasted some juicy fresh mango and delicious sweet dates. After watching a traditional belly dancer and a very brave snake charmer, we decided that it was time to return to Caterham and just made it back ready for home time!
