Year 2 and the Mysterious Firebird
Year 2 had a visit from a mysterious Firebird as our Topic work got underway this week and the children were all intrigued by the surprise arrival of a golden cage in our classrooms and a personal letter from the Firebird. This lead to some wonderful writing, including the use of adjectives and similes and some fabulous illustrations of what we think the Firebird might look like. During Outdoor Learning we collaborated in small groups to make imaginative and cosy nests to entice the Firebird to return. We’re keeping everything crossed!
