Year 2 Investigating Materials
This week, Year 2 had great fun carrying out a fair test in science. As part of our Global Learning topic on the Great Fire of London, the children investigated which materials—cotton, leather, metal, plastic, and wood—would be waterproof and therefore the best choice for a fire-fighting bucket. The pupils worked carefully to ensure their test was fair, made thoughtful predictions, and were excited to compare the results. It was a fantastic hands-on way to link our history learning with real scientific enquiry!
