Year 3 Explore Mountains
Last week, we launched the new Year 3 topic, ‘Mountains’: a cross-curricular topic across both Global Citizenship and English. On Wednesday, we walked to Viewpoint and had to justify whether we were sitting on a hill or a mountain, giving reasons for their thoughts. We developed a plethora of rich vocabulary and enjoyed the sunshine on our walk. The children then went on to create playdough mountains, measuring and marking the contour lines and working co-operatively with a partner.
