Year 3 Explore the Impressive RHS Garden Wisley
This week, our Year 3 pupils set off to explore the impressive RHS Garden Wisley. Covering over 240 acres, the garden offered a real-life classroom filled with stunning glasshouses, vibrant flower borders, winding arboretums, and even a tropical-themed glasshouse with waterfalls—a hit on such a blazing day! Inside the expansive glasshouse, they marvelled at banana plants, cacti and tropical waterlilies, experiencing mini “jungle” zones—a perfect escape from the heat.
Self-guided activities helped bring their classroom science to life, with hands‑on learning about plant adaptation, root systems and seed growth. Despite the fiery temperatures, spirits stayed high thanks to shady trees, plenty of water and bright smiles.
