Year 3 Investigate Sugar in Senior Biology Labs
Year 3 visited the senior school biology labs today to answer the important question: ‘Why do green bananas taste yucky?’.
First, we showed that bread contains starch and jelly babies contain a lot of sugar. We then carried out tests on green, yellow and black bananas. We found that green bananas contained a lot of starch and black bananas contained a lot of sugar. The super Year 3 scientists concluded that the starch in green bananas makes them taste yucky and the sugar in the yellow and black ones makes them taste yummy!
