Year 4 in the Hot Seat
In Year 4 we have been exploring the text ‘Escape from Pompeii’ in relation to our English and Global lessons. Today we were using inferencing to explore the main characters feelings and emotions by using hot seating. Hot seating is a drama technique used to delve deeper into characters thoughts and feelings. The children embody the character and others think carefully of questions they might have for the character to carefully answer. The children were completely engaged in this lesson asking meaningful questions and thinking deeply about the characters’ feelings and thoughts.
